About

I've spent twenty-plus years getting technology to do useful work inside businesses. Now I do it for yours.

Background

I started in digital when most businesses were still working out what a website was for. Over the following two decades I held senior roles at ITV in the UK, Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment and Hoodlum, leading digital projects and teams.

Those roles taught me how to run complex projects, manage large teams, and get things delivered with real budgets and real deadlines. I've led teams of up to nineteen people and worked with sales, marketing, finance, operations, customer service and executives on every side of the table.

More recently I've been responsible for technology, IT systems, CRM, automation and AI implementation inside a growing Australian coaching and education business. That's where the practical side of this work sharpened: integrating a stack of SaaS platforms, replacing manual work with systems that hold up, working out where AI genuinely helped and where it was a distraction, and getting a team of non-technical people to actually adopt the changes.

I set up this consultancy because I kept seeing the same pattern in growing Australian businesses. Good people, good products, and a tangle of systems and manual processes quietly costing them time, leads and money. Most of them don't need a big agency or another platform. They need someone experienced to come in, understand the mess, and sort it out.

Working with me

How I work with people

  • Calm, not loud

I'm a quiet achiever by nature. I'd rather understand your business properly and give you a considered answer than sell you a vision.

  • Commercial first

Every recommendation comes with what it costs, what it's likely to be worth, and how we'd know. I think like an operator, because I've been one.

  • Hands on

I build a lot of the work myself. When I bring in developers or vendors, I manage them and stay accountable for the result.

  • Straight answers

If the fix is simple, I'll tell you. If something isn't worth doing, I'll tell you that too. If I'm not the right person, I'll point you to someone who is.

Location

Byron Bay based. Australia-wide.

I'm based in Byron Bay in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, and I work with businesses across Australia. Most of the work happens remotely. For audits and larger projects, time on site in the Northern Rivers, Gold Coast, Brisbane and beyond is easy to arrange and often worthwhile.

The next step

A 30-minute conversation about your business. No pitch.

The discovery call is for working out whether an audit makes sense. I'll ask about your business, your systems and where things are getting stuck. You'll get a straight opinion on whether I can help, and what I'd look at first.

  1. Step 1

You tell me what's frustrating you

Slow follow-up, double handling, a CRM nobody trusts, an AI question you can't get a straight answer to. Whatever it is.

  2. Step 2

I ask the questions I'd ask on day one of an audit

Which systems, who does what, where the information lives, what management can and can't see.

  3. Step 3

    You get a straight opinion

Whether an audit is worth doing, what I'd focus on, and roughly what it would involve. If I'm not the right person, I'll say so.
